If you had to give up your FD
The Jotech Verde Ithaca GTR in post 656 is an awesome car. I saw it at TX2K11 on the dyno and I forget the numbers, but IIRC it was the second highest powered GTR after AMS (1070). It's a gorgeous car too.
Ascari A10 is superior in every measure of performance

Looks wise, the Koenigsegg is the supreme king of all supercars in my book - the Zonda rerally does look like a batmobile in comparison

These threads tend to spiral into fantasy land. Keeping the FD for now - only thing that is better all around (including less weight) for a reasonable cost is the Noble M400 or GT3. The EVO has not been mentioned much on this thread, but it gets an honorable mention, aside from its rice can looks

I agree on the swedish supercar. I fell in love with it when I first saw it on top gear years ago.
Would def pick it over the ascari or zonda, possibly over the veyron too, just cause its a manual.
The swedes did good. They made a great supercar and they create one of the finest women lol.... next to czech and hungary or course

I think this thread should of been, "If you give up your FD, what would you buy under $50K". Or at least more reasonable number vs. say 1 million + dollar cars.
Drove my 05 t-Rex for the first time today. Not saying it is for everyone but if you want pure driving excitement and don't care about practicality, it's one hell of a ride. I know it doesn't stack up on the track but it is the wildest thing I've ever been in on the street. Needless to say I'm satisfied.
Don't understand the latest three-wheeler fad at all, it's like people who are too chickenshit to ride a bike - pathetic
Let's race. I'll wheelie right over your head on the almighty ZX-10R.

Any pics of yours??
I saw one on the highway last summer and the thing books like crazy.
Mounted behind the driver is a 197-horsepower, 1352-cc inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission transferred directly from a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14. Just in case you're not familiar with this bike, the Ninja is one of the fastest two-wheelers on the planet.

"Out of the 3461 Z06's built in 2009, only 2278 have been sold and 1183 are still on the dealerships lots..."
This was a quote from a corvette forum not too long ago..
haha... how many NSXs are still in dealership lots up for sale????.....
NOTHING compares to the prestige and rarity that comes with the NSX.

I would pay a lot of money to see that race. My money is on the triangles
Gordon I hope you end up with one.
The NSX is my #1 choice. Honda was way ahead of their time building an aluminum monocoque when ferarri was still using steel. Ferrari had a lot to learn after then NSX came out. It's perfect NA, consider how many engines would be screwed up if they had a turbo and everybody was raising the boost. Honda hit the nail on the head and the resale values show that. I don't think there is a higher quality, more well rounded vehicle out there. If I can have two cars I'll keep my FD and find a well cared for NSX, if I only had room for one I would get an NSX. Yes it looks good, but it's so much more than that. There is nothing like a car that was at the cutting edge, and is actually reliable, looks great, unique, and is still in many ways at the cutting edge and probably better built than anything currently. Hard to beat unless you just want torque and straight line performance.

400 whp can be done NA if you want to open the motor.
