The CYM and CW car both disagree with that assessment. When a nearly 40k mile CYM sells for nearly $40k and a 30K mile CW sells for $40k, it is very apparent they do care about exactly the things Fritz and I are saying they care about. We have mostly seen 93 tourings listed, mileage and condition have been the separating factor. The CYM and CW car though show it clearly when you compare mileage and condition that they are still going to bring a premium.

Now, to keep you happy we will compare the CYM to this bone stock 94 with even less mileage, https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-mazda-rx-7-15/ resulting in a nearly $10k price difference. Weren't you saying you would need to see a $10k price difference to concede?

you should see the comments of the guy that bought the 49k vr. He literally said that in his experience he finds buying cars with the most options is the best bet for collectors. Hence the touring he went after. This is beef from the butcher. I found his comment to be so odd hence why i recalled. Its such stark contrast to whats believed around here.

what you are showing is modded vs unmodded. There is a well established vairance between modded and original cars in regards to collectors and sight unseen purchases. So this is down right garbage comparison.

you are funny man. Id also note that timing is also VERY important. Everyone knows prices ripped up after the summer as there were a number of articles written

But comparing modded to unmodded is pretty funny stuff.

Now we will show the difference with the CW car as it is a little easier to make a true apples to apples comparison.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-mazda-rx-7-17/ Sold for $40k with 29k miles. And its slightly modded.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-mazda-rx-7-15/ Sold for $28K with 31k miles and stock.

This one surpasses your $10k difference you require to concede....but let me take a wild guess and say you are going to keep arguing although the facts are presented clearly against you.

It took you 3-4 months to admit tan is worth less, I give it 3-4 months before you can swallow your pride on this one as well.

Did you actually read the whole response? There was a $9300.00 premium on the CYM car over the closest comparable stock touring and the touring had less mileage. Both stock, I am once again perplexed you continue to argue this, but here we are.

It is extremely important. I believe it was major factor in the last SSM Car being purchased so well.

Matty, how do you explain away this one? The modded car brought a huge premium. Lol, just stop man.

so lets be clear whats happening here. You show one comparison of modded vs not modded and this some how proves your point. WRONG. Then you show it again but this time going the other way and this time it makes you more right?

as far as the cym doing ok at 37k. I dont know. is that good?

Timing was a huge part of all this. There were a number of articles written. There was an inflection. Next?

Share with me one other 40K mile stock FD that sold for even near that, one. I'll wait.

i dont know ..the people i spoke to didnt think 37k was that great on the cym at the time. Seems high relative to red for that mileage on this transaction. How high is debatable. Your other points are off and are easily debunked. But ok. you have this cym printing at 37k which does sound high versus a VR.

What color is the high water mark? and have other colors sold with less miles?

when a cym trades as 60k youll be right. Auctions happen all over the place. 5k here or 5k there depending who wants what. We need a low mile cym to come up and a high water mark to be established before we can get too nuts.

If one trades at 60k you will be the champion. You should pat yourself on the back. But hopefully one day youll learn you shouldnt speak to people the way you do.....under the guise of the "truth".

That highlighted comment is what started it all. You said the EXACT same thing about tan interior and you were wrong. I am old too, have a family and been fortunate in my career. I'm still not gonna sugar coat things for you. You are wrong yet again. There is a large bias for CYM and CW. Its not debatable when its apples to apples.

Another factor in the current SSM vs the VR car is the time of year. It's winter in the northern states so sports car prices tend to decline.

you know "i am right" comment refers to the fact that we shouldnt engage in a #@$# measuring contest. Which unfortunately a debate with you turns into bc you dont "sugar coat"....errr....i mean you be a ***** and attack people.

I was skimming back through and just caught this, it gave me a good chuckle. Seems to be getting a little personal to you. I'll step back and let you try to regain your composure. I'm sure it is no fun being singled out when you are wrong.
