Does it mean your turbo's are bad if there is oil in the I/C piping or does it mean the engine is going?

A little oil is normal.

When you can pour oil out of the bottom of your IC you may be passing a little much!

Mine had been blowing a little oil for a while (never with smoke though), and then they started to lose the ability to make boost. They wouldn't (couldn't) make anything above 12lbs of boost. Then they started blowing a little smoke, and that's the point at which i'm currently at. I had my fears confirmed by Dave at KD. He showed me how bad they were. They don't spin well at all. The bearings are done I guess.
Whatever. I'm real used to breaking **** at this point.

Good to know I'm not the only one who uses a portable fan to cool her down.

Just curious what the most milage anyone has on the original twins. I have 147,000 miles today. My engine has about 25,000 miles. My twins seem to be pulling hard and I cant detect any boost problems. I read alot that said they had to rebuild at 60K. Just curious what everyone else has.

David

101,500 on stock twins
101,500 on car
1,500 miles on engine

Ancient thread bump...but thought it would be interesting to add to it...especially since the cars are all a lot older now.
I'm the 3rd owner of this car bought with ~45k and certain they are the original set (unless they were changed out on warranty when the car was VERY new). Car now has 138,000. Always kept at stock boost with synthetic oil and if it has any effect, for the last 40k or so I've been running WI. Regardless, they're still going strong. No smoke, no unusual amount of oil in the intake or IC. Usually a small oil drop on the bottom of the secondary when I put it up on the lift, but nothing ever makes it to the ground.
I know I'm on borrowed time and still haven't made up my mind on what to do when they do go...

Note...this is probably better in the discussion section, but I found it in the tech section. Understand if mods need to move it.
