Help Identify Front Right Clunk When Braking
Hi all,
I have a clunk coming from the driver's side front. Generally, I notice it when I slightly apply the brakes but that could be a coincidence. It's been happening for a while and I do feel it in my brake pedal which makes me think it is brake related. The issue started happening after an incident occurred after I replaced my brake pads. I replaced my previous brake pads with Forza pads (with original back plates) and the car sat for a little and turned out I didn't tighten the lower caliper bolt. Safe to say I found out the hard way, after a short drive the bolt fell out and the caliper moved and got jammed a bit. Quickly pulled over and fixed it, but since it's been making the issue.
After some investigating, I noticed my caliper pins were a bit old so I replaced them and it did feel like the noise went away but it could just have been me as the car doesn't get driven long. I took the car out last night and definitely made a clunk a decent amount of times, mainly during slow speeds braking.
I jacked the car up today and had a really good look. My upper control arm bushes were recently replaced and are in good condition. Nothing seems to be moving with force or making any sounds. I did notice my tie rod rubber boot is torn and most likely has dirt build-up inside but didn't notice any noises and isn't moving under the pressure I used and no issues when turning the steering wheel.
Besides the issue is a potential worn tie rod, I'm not sure what else it could be? Maybe a damaged caliper? It was rebuilt a few years back.
After some advice or guidance for those who could know where the issue is coming from.
Cheers,

My guess is it's something with that caliper. If it mainly does it when braking and you just messed with that it's logical that it's the problem.
