Good eye.... Yes, our visors are the same. What I did was unscrew the flaps and flip them upside down, to prevent the posts from scratching the sunroof when opening/closing. I call it my "light-weight a/c" upgrade

Oh that's an awesome idea! I might have to do that. Did you notice a big difference in how much air was pulled in? I would imagine so considering it's pointing at you a lot more.

No onto my next issue, was the center mount too long on yours too? Mine is tightened all the way down and doesn't even touch the metal to grab on. I've thought about cutting it shorter and re-bending it where it needs to be. I almost wonder if he didn't send a mount from another kit. The outside ones work great though.

For those that don't know, here is what the angle looks like normally. I don't think it works as well as Ryan's mod does.

Yes. It def. works better to pull air in upside down...just be careful, you will have to bend the flaps to get em to fit upside down (notice the arch in mine).

And yes, I also had the same problem with the center clip. I popped it off, bent it at a better angle, and re-drilled a new hole for a tighter fit. Worst case scenario you have to make a new clip.

And also the coin and card tray for the map pocket...

And the plastic piece that covers the glass moonroof seems to be kinda rare...

Plus a bunch of custom one off pieces I've either made myself or have had someone else make or modify. Like the front fenders. But most of the stuff isn't OEM so I'm not sure if it counts.

I'm not sure how rare the first three things are though. I haven't looked through this thread yet lol.

Oh yeah, and this intake elbow. I'm not sure what brand it is, I bought it from a guy years ago and finally got around to installing it when I changed the IC and piping.
Elbow is hks indeed.
You also need the brackets to relocate fuse box relays etc

Thats probably the reason it was parted out .. they probably used the greddy elbow that is a far lesser hassle to install

I'm not sure how rare these parts are, but as I mentioned before I have a C's shifter (still not confirmed yet whether it's legit or knockoff though lol) and a GReddy Ti, which I know they also stopped producing.

Yeah I noticed an arch in yours. I didn't realize they'd need to bend though. I'm still going to look into it though, thanks for the idea! And I'll probably re-bend the bracket or make a new one.

Ok thanks for confirming that. I definitely need some brackets to mount them. The big relay box is bolted to the frame but I still need to clean up/mount the diagnostic box and fuse box.

That's a good call, you're probably right.

I have the hks vmount on my car.. i can send you some pictures of how these brackets are if you are not rushing . the fuse box mounts on the hks battery tray.. i made a different bracket to mount that since i moved the batteey to the back. Just so you know... fitting this elbow will be a major pain in the ***

Yeah I'd love to see the brackets! I already have it all installed, I just need to clean up the relay and fuse box mounting. And by that I mean I need to actually mount them lol. I hate how they are right now. Well, the fuse box anyway. The big box is alright, but the fuse box needs to be mounted.

Ok, on to more rare parts. Well, some of these aren't parts, and I'm not sure how rare some of these are.

This Redom ECU I got from a buddy for doing some work on/buying parts for his car. I know NOTHING about it.

I'm pretty sure these are rare. I saw these on eBay about 12 years ago and asked my friend in Japan to get me 5 of them. This was doing a failed conversion from Yen to Dollar in my head from memory of a couple years before in Okinawa. So I was thinking they were about $9 each instead of $90. What a steal! lol She sent me these along with the other stuff in the pics and some RE-A stickers, etc. And once I realized how much it all actually cost I demanded to pay her and she never would let me, even up to when I saw her last year lol. The orange towel is a Project D towel if I remember right, because she got all this stuff at an event and got a picture with Amemiya-san.

And I think we can all agree that these are rare lol. I mean, considering I paid for 12 and got 2, but, ya know, I'm not bitter or anything. WHATEVER. lol

Set me back a couple hundred bux plus shipping, wish I know someone that can make me a custom one, I actually looked into the SMG Racing one but it doesn't have a spot for the stock pump and I prefer to keep the rear washer functional.

Interested in more information on this. How, why, who?

Isn't there a law in Japan that forbids car manufacturers to limit speeds over 180 km/h?

or was this Spirit-R specifically made for a non Japanese market?

I'm the owner of that spirit r and only one left since the first one got destroyed
I'm have taken it out to clean out the dust inside it from leaving the car seating for too long.
