IL FD dying after running

Hello all, long time watcher and rare poster here.
My 93 R1 has developed a new random issue that I cannot seem to figure out. Whenever I drive it the car will fire right up and drives great, but if it gets turned off then the car will not crank or anything until it is cooled off again.(could be several hours) Once the car is off turning the key does absolutely nothing, no cranking no anything. All the electronics come on but the car will not crank or do anything related to starting. Once it cools off it will start right up.
The car can be running for 2 minutes and this same thing will happen.

I know the answer is probably really simple, but I just cannot come up with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Could the security lock out or clutch kill switch be somehow malfunctioning?

Check the cable connections to the battery. Sometimes corrosion can cause that issue. The corrosion layer will be less conductive as it gets hot, or one of the clamps can expand away from the post.

I'll second this as a good starting point, and I'll add all grounds related to the battery and starter.

I had, seemingly, the exact same issue. Cleaned all the grounds and it didn't happen again that summer. Started again the next year, and I cleaned all the grounds again and installed a starter booster relay, and the issue has not come back since (I'll also note that, my security relay had been bypassed long before the issue started...but I agree with the others. If yours is not bypassed yet, definitely do that as well).
