Cranks No Start. Unflooded and everything. Lost

Guys hello. I’m lost in the sauce. My car cranks and hiccups once but won’t start. I’ve done all unflooding procedures, including the ATF trick. Checked FP(Relay,Fuse, etc. it works) Spark plugs are the old ones, I have new ones ready to go when I fix the car.

the reason for the car not working in the first place is because I foolishly assumed that the alternator had stopped working mid drive and the battery was slowly draining and I was about 20 minutes from home. It ended up being the belt ripped to shreds. I replaced both and the alternator too.

I never made it home initially, I ended up overheating and pulled over to cool down. Battery was near its end so I jumped the car a total of 4 times before it pushed home. I really looked over the fact that the belt wasn’t even there.
Anyways, I’m lost guys I’ve checked all fuses too. I’ve done the unflooding via spark plug removals aswell as the holding the gas pedal down and cranking and the egi fuse too. Everything to my extent.

When I cranked the engine over to get the fuel out and the ATF I believe I had compression. I heard the same sound of air being squeezed out so o think I have compression.

Thank you guys in advance.

Put the new spark plugs in, spray a good amount of starting fluid, start the car.

Modulate the throttle to help it get going and when it does fire over, stay on the throttle snd dont let it die

I’ve cleaned the old spark plugs and reinserted them, I’ve also used starting fluid. The most the car has done is pop once then continue to crank

modulating the throttle has no effect on anything it seems

In my experience sometimes the only way to get some cars started is to pull it down the road and pop start it, usually in second gear. Probably most effective in engines with compression on the low side that have been flooded.
Something to consider if the above doesn’t work.

I haven’t gone around to install the new spark plugs yet so I don’t know if it’ll start, but for pop starting I attempted it in first gear and with no avail. Maybe I didn’t go fast enough. Would getting it started fix the issues that it has? Or is that just a temporary method to getting the car to run? Thank you

It's hard to pop start in 1st. Usually that just results in the tires skidding. I've always used 2nd. Never had to do it on my FD, though, so your results may be different.

Fixed!

Hey guys thank you for your input. I fixed it. I’m not sure if it was the spark plugs or the fact that I decided to unfloodnitnone more time and this time I hooked it up to another car and kept going and going and going until absolutely nothing came out, and I noticed the engine was cranking a lot stronger after.

It’s up and running and running beautifully.
Now to enjoy it until something else breaks
