Brake booster disassembly and paint

Has anyone had any luck with disassembling the brake booster? I'm only looking to strip and paint the front "cover" of it and was wondering if it is possible to remove the cover without pieces flying everywhere so I can put it through the sand blasting cabinet and give it a new look. Or if I can just mask off the opening?

no need to do that. just mask the openining and the vacuum port. paint is advised besides powder coat. good chance you will melt the internals in the oven. we've gotten a lot of boosters painted and automotive grade paint works perfectly
