What are these spots on my paint?

What are these spots on my paint job. The car is a 4month old subaru and not the FD . Just wanted to to see if this is what poeple call "Rail Dust".

They look like over spray. Probably ran over paint on the road or some how paint was splashed on to your car. You can read up on www.autopia.org (click HOW -TO on the top). I suggest using claybar but please read up before you use it. WHere in NY are you located? I do detailing and i can remove that for you, PM me if you want.

If you can feel that its "ontop" of the paint, just rub it off. Use compound/claybar/rags whatever. Just nothing abrasive enough to scratch the clear deeply, then polish it again afterwards.

Looks like tar. Just use a small dab of brake cleaner on a clean rag to work it off. Then wash and rewax.

can you feel the spots on the paint surface, if so it could be specs of tar, but hard to say from the pics. If it is tar you can try and rub it down with baby oil and it will come off. then just clean trhe baby oil off. good luck
