BOV & CRV Block off Caps? Where to find them?

Hey Guys!

Dumb question but I am really struggling to find a suitable part.

I am looking for reinforced silicone caps to block off the CRV and BOV ports on the Y Pipe. However after much searching I cannot seem to find anything suitable. I found rubber radiator block off caps but they are not reinforced to take boost pressure. My other idea was to run a silicone boost pipe joining the two together. Not pretty but would work.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am sure I am not the first person to want to block these ports off. IIRC they are approx 3/4"-7/8" diameter.

FYI, I want to avoid welding the ports shut as I will be selling the Y Pipe at some point in the future. Also for those who don't know I am running non sequential, hence my HKS BOV on my cold side pipe can replace both the CRV and BOV.

Thanks,Tom

Ebay seller kurumashop has what you need. Keep in mind you're not going to find the exact size. Getting one close in size will allow you to either slightly stretch it over or have a slightly loose fit that a clamp will close up no problem. With the silicone caps, you're not going to want to use the perforated worm clamps. It will cut them and they'll be worthless. You're going to want the smooth clamps. Ebay seller bestprice_dealsus has them.

Thanks for the fast response - I may be being dumb but I am only seeing regular non reinforced silicone caps on that store. Which I assume are not suitable for boost applications.

If i missed the reinforced ones could you send me a link?

Thanks, Tom

The ones they have listed are very strong. I'm using them. Very thick walled. I was using a thinner one on my y pipe before I switched over to those and the thinner one held just fine. I'm also using the smaller ones to block off the water pipes I'm not using, like the one on the rear iron and the ones on the water pump housing. They will be more than sufficient to hold with your application.

Checked out kurama shop as per cr-rex recommendation - look good but only available in blue!

Also found these: https://store.034motorsport.com/sili...-diameter.html but shipping is ridiculous ($40 USD for a $5 item to get it to Canada )

Any other suggestions appreciated!

You could pay about $10 shipped and get probability 100 industrial high temp high pressure ones from McMaster Carr.

I just bought some 3/4” ones from advance auto here in the states. They were in the help section (dorman brand) aisle, they called them coolant caps I think.

The Dorman caps are rubber and will fail. They didn't even last in the engine bay of my Integra and the one i tried on the fd on the uim failed after a week. Silicone is what you need.

Thanks for the input guys. My understanding from online searches was that the general auto part stores (NAPA etc) carried the Dorman Caps which are indeed all rubber and not what I want/need.

Great website - never searched there before - thanks!

Unfortunately, from what I can see they only sell them in RED......I guess the search continues!

If it helps any, over time the blue does fade and the cap becomes almost navy color.

Good to know, but unfortunately my OCD would just end up making me replace them down the line anyway.......being **** sure does make things expensive!
