Amemiya Redom Tye A ecu specs
Hi, can anyone give me a hint about which specs is this ecu tuned for? Do I need to use premium gas? The boost shown is reached with the oem wastegate duty cycle or should I need to use a mbc? Any boost fuel/cut to worry about? Expected hp? It is going to be fitted into a not abused 93 fd, pretty stock but catback, downpipe, cheap bastard airbox mod and k&n drop in air filter, main cat will not be removed. Thanks in advance

That shows the boost is setup for .9 bar on the primary, .8 on the secondary. That's about 13psi primary/12psi secondary.
They aren't well documented in the US and it's hard to say how everything else should be set up. What mods can be run with it? Do you need a bigger fuel pump with it? A rewired fuel pump? Certain heat range of spark plugs?
Personally I wouldn't run it. There's too many "if's" to bet your engine on.
If you want to stay stock ECU but have a little headroom I'd look for a Petitt Unliimited ECU. Or go PowerFC.
If you are having to pass Cali emissions that's a whole 'nuther thing as well, also if you have a California ECU car.

A type was intake/catback, it raises the boost, changes the fuel and timing, and lowers the fan on temps. it keeps the main cat, and emissions
B type was A with a midpipe/no cat and maybe IC
C type was for custom flashes, best to stay away from that.
i have a type A in mine, and it runs great. i would run premium.

Japanese premium fuel is 100RON, or about 94 ish US-style AKI octane. The JDM tuner shops knew their stuff when they made these back in the day.
I would like to try one in my car but all we have here in California is 91 AKI, a little low for the tune I think.

I usually use 95 ron fuel, in Spain we can choose between 95 and 98 ron, but 98 ron is barely used so it remains for longer time without refilling at the gas station so could not have the same specs as when it was distilled and additivated. Some lab test have shown that our 95 real ron is closer to 96.x while 98 being closer to 97 so I will prefer to run the fresher 95 with some octane booster as WI, but wanted to know the octane rating this ecu was mapped for. I use to fill with 95 ron (91 us pump aprox) with a little flow of a single stage water injection only as a knock prevention method, just to be safe.
