Hi folks,

So, after nine years of owning my FD I just realized that I don’t appear to have a fender liner in the passenger-side rear wheel well. Is this normal or am I missing some plastic perhaps?

The picture is the area in question, thanks For any info.

 

nothing goes there. only the gas tank side has a liner for the filler neck

 

Thanks for the confirmation--it looked like there was a rivet on the lip that was meant to hold something there. That, combined with the liner on the driver-rear side, made me think it was unfinished/missing on the passenger side.

I wonder if that'd be an interesting aftermarket part for someone to develop. Might mess with aero or even muffler cooling I suppose?

 

its there for the rear mud guard that not all cars came with

 

There must be good rust protection on the wheel well,. You don't see corrosion issue there normally.
