Removing the Fender Vent

What is the easiest way to remove the vent? The small grill popped out and I found it inside the fender...

Thanks for any help...

you have the fender off i assume
its held in by snaps that are extended by screws
unscrew them and with a little jiggling it should come free

No, the fender is on. The grill got knocked out (in) several years ago. I found the grill behind the wheel liner and squeezed it out between the liner and the fender.

I just thought there might be a simple way of getting the whole vent assembly out without too much trouble. Then I could fix the grill and put the vent back in.

I think the tabs on the grill are broken, but I figure i can either glue, rivet, screw, etc. the grill back on...

I had the exact same problem as you do. I took out the fender liner (pulled it back really, not completely out) on that side and then used some plastics epoxy and managed to get it back on there with out removing anything else. It was a little tricky, but I got it done.

Probably it would be better to just take the fender off... less trouble overall.

the vent is origanally glued on and held on by tiny rivets. Just put superglue on it and it will stay if you position it properly
