after market axles?

Without going into a lot of detail, I need to replace both axles on my FD. OEM are > $400 per and 6 weeks minimum (if they can be had at all). I know drive shaft shop sells an after market setup, but that's closer to $1.8k and about the same wait time. What do people do when their stuff wears out?

Rock Auto has:

SURTRACK/TRAKMOTIVE MZ8194 $70
A-1 CARDONE 608035 {#MA1025500} Reman $93

No idea on the quality of these and how they compare to OEM Mazda.

Thanks, I guess my concern is the same--who knows about the quality.

You would be better off to buy nice used axles. They are such a low failure item, and the quality is known.
I'm sure Fritz has a few available.

I'd agree, not worth much either - at least here. Main thing to remember, don't buy unmarked ones, Murphy will have you run them in reverse rotation!

could go with the aftermarkets from rock auto and then replace the center with DSS kit thats 500$. I opted for the aftermarket ones, havent run them yet so cant comment on quality.
