Afr reading 16 on boost

Hwy gents hows everyone doing today. Ok so ive just finished my fd single turbo upgrade everything is working as it should except for the fueling. When i drive normally (no boost) the afr sits at around 10.5 to 11.5 but then as soon as i go into boost it creeps to 16 so it leans out badly. Ive had the injectors cleaned and serviced. I am running an apexi power fc, gt 35 turbo, 340lph fuel pump, stock injectors and still the old stock fuel filter, and also the stock fuel pressure regulator. Any one have a suggestion as to what i can have a look at to get the boost richer.

Cheers

Did you have the PFC (re) tuned for your current setup?

@fendamonky It's probably pulling hard.

OP, You should get larger secondary injectors and have the car professionally tuned. You're fast tracking detonation right now.

This is a good point! OP, what size injectors are you running? The stock injectors will *not* be suitable for your setup...

OP states stock injectors. Yea, most likely running out of fuel up top. I was hitting 100% duty cycle according to the PFC with full bolt on mods and twins around 14-15psi.

as mentioned before, stay out of boost as thats a sure fire way to be in need of a rebuild.
injectors need upgrade, also, change out your fuel filter.

I haven't listed any parts for sale yet, but i do have a KG Parts secondary fuel rail, and Bosh 1680cc secondaries. recently cleaned and flow tested.
just finished upgrading my entire fuel system.

In case it wasn't already clear....STOP DRIVING THAT CAR IN BOOST!!!

You clearly don't have enough fuel behind the car and you'll go from needing a set of new injectors and a tune to needing a new engine. Be patient and do it right.

Next post by OP will be "Rotaries are garbage. I'm going to LS swap."

Oh dang, I definitely missed that on the first read through, good catch!!!

Yeah, the stock injectors will NOT flow enough for really much beyond 13-14psi on stock twins while still retaining an acceptable inj duty cycle..

Sadly having the OEM injectors cleaned was a waste of money, best bet is to pick up some ID 750's and 1600's for your primary/secondary injectors. That, along with new rails.

It's not cheap, but it'll cost a lot less than the rebuild you're about to force if you keep the car this way.

He'd be fine on stock primaries and 2200CC secondaries, right? Might be cheaper that way but still plenty of fuel.

Personally I'd swap them all, if only to get rid of the diffusers and to make use of the far better technology and spray pattern in the "new" injector type.

Yeah, that'll be plenty. Dale Clark made a thread on here about an affordable rail/2200cc injector combo. I can't remember who makes it but it seemed good.

This was what the writeup was referring to.

Been lurking on this forum for over 10 years, guess I can start sharing the database in my head lol

To be honest, I am blown away. So much so that I just have to re-iterate what everyone on this thread is saying:

To put this into perspective for you: The stock set up has 550's for primary and 850's for secondaries. Similar to you, I have a GT35R on my car *but* I'm running 1000's and 2000's. Yes it is way over kill, however lack of fuel will never be my problem. Ever. Even if I decide to go with a bigger turbo.

No matter what fuel system he decides on, it is still much more affordable than a rebuild
