WA 1995 Windshield

I went to Safelite to get my windshield replaced.

They have ordered a windshield for earlier years and the rearview mirror base is wider.

Has anyone replaced their windshield for a 95 and got the skinny base for the rearview mirror?

Safelite has ordered another brand and still the same result.

Seems like all the windshield in th US is for 93-94.

I have a thread on the mirror base, you can heat gun the original base off and go to the newer style base.

I have read your write up prior to posting.

Safelite recommends them replacing the base with the 95 base but the “black” baked on ceramic cannot be removed so I will have a wide black ceramic with skinny rearview mirror base.

It's not that big of a deal, you won't see it in the car. I've been totally happy with my switch to the smaller mirror base and the adjustable mirror.
