What are the bolt sizes for the primary and 2ndary rails?
All right, I forgot I have no memory. I removed both rails a while ago and now am in the process of putting them back on. I thought longer bolts were in the primary but I am not certain. I believe there are 2 different lengths, one length for the primary and another for the secondary. Does anyone know the length of these bolts?
thanks
thanks
Looks like to did not use a very simple and cheap tool and procedure when working on you car.
The tool is called a plastic bag and the procedure is placing parts together with their own parts.
Either way, you can determine the answer by trying different sizes till you found ones that fit. A hint, both will fit a 12mm socket.

thanks Chuck,
I know it is a 12mm, these were the last bolts I removed and not packaged. I thought I could remember 2 sets. I was just going to replace the diffusers, when I noticed one of the air bleed sockets was messed up. So I had to order them, which took a few days enough for my memory lapse.

Yes, I have done a little more tinkering. And thanks for the helpful information. As you recall I was going to just put it back together assuming your free flowing fuel idea was correct and I believe it was. But since I had the parts, I decided I would replace the fuel line and diffusers while I was at that stage of disassembly. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the seal on the top of the air bleed socket was damaged. So I ordered a couple of air bleed sockets and subsequently forgot which bolts went where. I thought I could just look in the manual and figure it out; I couldn’t without the help of Ray Crowe.
Here is a piece of positive information (which I believe this forum should be about, i.e. positive ideas, help, or intent) the part number for the 2ndary bolt is 99794-830. The 8 in the dash number is the diameter in millimeters and the 30 is the length in millimeters. Hence I was able to measure the bolts to determine which were the 2ndary bolts and by elimination the primaries.

Not to be an ***, but a very effective technique to avoid this is to put bolts back into their relevant holes as soon as you remove the bolted part. then they'll be there when you get back to that part. I swapped an entire engien this way, not a single misplaced nut or bolt. It adds time, but in the long run, saves time
