Vented hoods

Just wanted to gauge the interest in any future vented carbon fiber hoods. We hope to have this round of shipments out by the end of next week since they are "supposed" to arrive this week. After they are shipped, then I will talk to the distributor and see if he is going to get any more or if there is a interest in them, then I could request some more. I would like to get this shipment finished before any action on a third round of hoods. Also that should give members to read some feedback on them. Just checking. Oh here is the site with some pics. Disregard the dates of arrivals.

Hi Long:

I'm still interested in an FG hood, just wanted to see how everybody is satisfied with the first shipment before signing up for one - also still interested in the DP if that comes through!
How much prep work would the FG hood take to get it ready to paint? If its alot, I just might go with the CF instead. I once spent what seemed like a year sanding fiberlgass on a - get this...... LONG EZ airplane. (A Rutan design)

:p

CF fits M2 large IC?

Does the CF hood interfere with the M2 large IC like the Faspac hood?

Anyone else running this hood with the M2 large IC?

I'm interested if it's plug and play with the M2.

I'd be interested. Need to know how much for the FG. hood as well as the CF hood plus shipping to Fla. These things have to ship by freight right ????

There are measures you can take to keep water out. But they are all up to the customer to perform. What I want to ask those worried about the water is:

What harm can come out of having water drip onto your engine bay?

I have the fastpac hood and have not had any problems with water getting into the engine bay. Infact most of it dripps onto the intercooler. The rest ends up on the radiator. No big deal either way.

I'm interested.

I'm worried abotu fit because my car was wrecked and my stock hood is not fitting exactly right. I dunno if its teh hood or my car, but 3 people(professionals) have looked at it and said it was my hood, not my car.

Instead of fixing my hood I think buying this is a better options, but if it doesn't fit right then I can't send it back. I figure that I can just re-sell it though, so I'm in.
