Ahh crap, I guess I should also add that this particular manifold has the double-throttle plates removed.

what happens when the double throttle is removed? isnt it not safe for the car if it boosts while it is cold? what is the benefit of doing this? i have alsways wondered!

There are a ton of places that topic has already been discussed. Essentially it's a mechanism which degrades the air-flow ability of the secondary throttle-plates which in turn lowers your ability to produce boost. They are only closed when the coolant temperature is "cold." After warmup they are always open and are essentially in the way.

You control the throttle, so if you were flooring it out of the garage before (which you shouldn't be) I would highly suggest not doing the same thing with the throttle plate restrictors removed.

cool, there should be more threads like this. for example, its so hard for someone which does not know what the tca is when doing the non-seq mod for the first time, i mean everyone knows what it does and where it is (under the car) but not too many people know exactly what it looks like and where it is under the car.
