What was the mph? That is a better indication...less affected by new drivers.

Unless you're frequently making aggressive stops like on a road course why do you need a bbk again?
sorry for the bitching guys.. lol... just having a bad day...

My best time was 10.9 @ 129mph. The block is stock. just upgraded the injectors, fuel pump and got the car tuned for 7 lbs. my car dyno'd at 454hp. I was told thats pretty good for a stock engine. As soon as I blow my engine I will build it. at this time because engine runs perfect it would be a wast of money for me to build it for higher boost.

but as for bigger brakes. I need it for the street. last thing I want is to run someone in the middle of the night and not be able to stop in time.

Thing about this is that you might pay $3K and not have to paint (Show paint and body might cost $5+K), but if you want to keep the carbon look and have a good fitment, its not possible.
you said it!! carbon fits like crap. This was the best the bodyshop can do. biggest mistake i made on my car. it is what it is. lol

I think a stock ls1 engine gets about 325hp. to the wheels your looking at around 270. With boost on a stock motor at 6-7 lbs your maximum gain would be around 400-475 to the wheels. If you build your internals and lower compression then you can boost higher and get more hp. If your producing +600 whp then your engine has to be build. for sure. what kind of timeslips you doing? single digits?

its like this guys... how many 10 second cars do you see on the road? Majority of the modified cars out there are slower than 13.5. then you get into the sportscars like mustangs, camaros, evos, sti's, vettes etc. they on average range from 11.5 to 13.5 depending on modification. We dont see 10 second cars in the streets to often and especially in los angeles. the way i see it. if you have a 10 second street car. you pretty much own the streets. I am sure you all know what i am talking about

but... and this is a big but... if you take my car to the track where all the other big dogs play. i would prob get spanked left and right. 10 sec or not i see plenty single digits there.

I think this is pretty much the same for every big city you go to.

THAT'S why my car feels slower now haha.

What would you consider them? I put them under sport sedans... They are not that far off from sports cars besides the number of seats and doors.

In my own opinion in order for me to consider a car a pure sports car it has to have the following specs: is created with one purpose and one purpose only, to achieve the highest level of performance possible. Meaning the the car is as light weight as possible, only having two doors and two seats. The car has no compromises and is not made to appeal to the public's mpg or where to put little Johnny.

It's simply made to go fast, period. Therefore the Evo, Sti, audi s4, even an M3 I do not consider sports cars at all. The evo and sti are fast grocery getters and the M3 (as much as I love it) has rear seats with a bunch of electronics and luxury items to weigh it down; it's a sports sedan.

The FD is a pure sports car and was intended for that purpose since it was conceived.

Are you doing a rebuild on the FD Dom? What's the story on that SC300 right behind it? I have one too with a 2JZ-GTE swap.

Well, Here is my new edition / my new project.

1994 SSM touring with about 32K original miles. Mint exterior and almost new interior. By far one of the cleanest FD I've seen.

Here is a picture of it from yesterday at BNRSupercars. Bryan from BNR Supercars let me use his lift to change out the catback. Now has an old school RB dual tip

Many things will happen to this car over next 6 months... like taking off the black wing for silver 99, 99 front, MS CF lip, Feed CF side, Shine CF rear diffuser, new wheels, suspension, etc..
