The dual WGs look good and the hard lines. What boost are you running?
Hey Phil.... Profec B is set for 12 psi and 16. Car Dyno'd at 375 RWHP (12) and 439 RWHP at 16 psi (DynoPac reading was actually 16.44 @ 439) on 91 octane.

I'm not understanding? Are you saying that you have to do annual State vehicle inspections and they check for things like fender clearance??

I think he's talking about the road surface where he lives.

It shouldn't be a problem as long as the coilovers are set to where it doesn't bounce to much.

RCCAZ, your engine bay looks amazing, I love it

Be careful w/the hardlines..... many years ago at Gotham a customer came to us with an uber-blown motor due to his WG hardlines cracking and leading to an overboost. Make sure there is some flex somewhere in the system, this guy had zero and over the years from his engine torquing on the mounts it led to stress cracks and ultimately failure.

For my WG lines on my 500R, I use (braided) stainless steel lines covered in DEI Fire Sleeving, zero problems for almost four years now.

Edit: Btw, I've run 17x10 +43 out back with 275/40 tires for many many years, no clearance issues w/stock fenders.

Don't you mean braided stainless steel lines? Seems even stainless steel hardlines would crack over time.

Good point Rich.
But I think he's running rubber lines from the solenoid to the hardlines. So, it should flex fine.

Another way is to mount the boost control solenoid on to the engine itself and you could do all hardlines

My next engine I'll do this... maybe my 20B??

Nice to see your car evolve. Nice house too. We met during one of those dyno day with Steve Khan.

Here was my house in Scottsdale that I unloaded with no loss in 2006. I still have the car but it needs another engine.

Hey Rich... thanks for the heads up on potential for failure. Yes, they are isolated near the firewall in rubber lines which connect to the soleniod, but your note of caution is definitely warranted. The motor is running aftermarket mounts, plus the torque brace helps with movement, but the hardlines still probably see a fair amount of vibration when the engine is running. I'll check them periodically.

Hmmm, never thought of mounting the solenoid on the engine, but that idea isn't bad either Phil.

Wow.... considering the setting (Sevenstock) that's a pretty huge compliment spanks! Thanks for the kudos!!

Of course I remember you. Sad to see you leave the Valley, but understood your reasoning. I was bummed that Steve could not complete your car that day. After we changed out the fuel filter and tried everything (including a new pump I believe) to try and get your car more fuel. What ended up being the problem (back then)??

Ahhh yes, Easy. The BHR girls (sigh). Had to stay out of that pic due to the potential for blackmail. Not sure the wiffy would be so understanding, but wow..... yeah. Oh well.

As rich said, 275 is no problem on OE Fenders if you run a higher offset. Even witha lower offset can be done, just roll the rears.

Running 245/275 is nice because USUALLY the Overall diameter is close (depends on tire brand) , so the speedo accuracy won't change, and the car will handle neutral.

Well, its really not a new idea... If you look at stock set up, the solenoids are mounted to the engine. I wanted to do this so I could run the wires with the engine harness.. Including all the electronic gauges.. Just pain in the butt to sort it all.

For weight savings trying to hit 10s, I recently cut off the diagonal bar, removed all the interior from the back, storage bins, the carpet, door panels, etc, and put in a little light odyssey battery.

It was held down with some bolts and brackets, bolted to the floor there. Now I got the little battery box made for the optima battery covering the little optima battery, bolted down.

Well at the time I was keeping extra coolant and oil and some stuff in the bins, and it seemed much easier to put it where I did, and I already had a big power wire running back there for a big amp I took out, and now I don't even have the bins in there.

I had installed a Supra pump and the original o-ring got stuck on the original pump. When the Supra pump was installed there was no o-ring to the feed tube therefore under pressure fuel leaked out instead of going into the fuel line. Found the o-ring, installed it back on the pump and Steve tuned it at 311 rwhp. Blew the engine running SeaFoam. Installing a used engine in its place. This will be my fourth motor. Rebuilding for the 5th motor.
