This cage looks really nice in the fd but by cutting out the diagonal bar you have removed all of the strength of the cage.

well ya it took away some strength, but they also sell these without the diagonal bar, so its just like one of those now. I only got it cause of the requirement for a 4 point roll bar with my drag times, and I was not thinking about weight when I ordered it, that thing is so heavy and it hurt my times at the track. So I did weight removal of lots of things to lighten up the car which makes a big difference.

Man, I can't imagine living in that snow that you all have to deal with! You guys should move to FL! Summers are out of hand though.

Not going to lie, its been on jackstands for over a month because i'm too lazy to replace the clutch fork. It might be a while before i do that custom V-mount, might do a very large stock mount for a while, not sure yet. I fail

rich your car looks awesome....would you take 17k for it? i want my fd back. berfles....how does 17k sound?hahha i am joking. but on a serious note. i have come to the realitization that i should have test drove the S5 before i sold my fd. i have a strange feelin that its not gonna do anything for me coming from my fd. i drove my buddies g35 the other day and man it did zero for me. if the s5 is like that i am gonna have a serious problem on my hands. then what? buy a porsche? i have smoked porsches with my fd. spend 60k on a 2003 911 turbo and have a car slower than my fd i sold for 16k. and when i say i beat those porsches i dont mean by a car.....i would literally leave them. ah boy. this isnt going to end well.
i had my fd for ten yrs and its been awesome. i always thought the fd was one of the best looking cars ever built. when the s5 came out i thought to myself wow this is the first car that i would consider selling my fd for. those cars look really great. it is so friggen sick coming at you with the lights on. so i decided to list my fd one night and figured given its winter its not gonna sell but then a week later it did. i actually didnt put much thought into selling it. i only listed it here. then when berfles was here with the cash in his pocket and i was taking the plate off it hit me....i am selling my friggen cherry *** fd. what the f am i doing??!!??! anyways i just wanted to say bye to you guys...as i been around the community for over ten yrs and have made many friends.
berfles.....u are gonna love that car. it has been amazing to me. and the thing rips. get some experience in the spring before running 15 psi. get to know guys like mahjik and goodfellas. you should get some track time in too. thats what the car has been built for.

alright.....thanks for everything guys

regards,

matt (first time rotary-less in 18 yrs)

btw. that cym is so well done. congrats on a job well done....very tasteful.

So today, I finally got to enjoy the car after working on it last week and getting the bumper repainted. I went to a local charity car show and was stoked on the attention, a photographer there took some pictures for me
