Scrub is entitled to his opinion just like anyone else on this forum. My advice that I give to any member is to not post pictures of your car if you don't want any negative comments. Because no matter how nice of a car you think you have, someone will always find something negative to say no matter how small it might be. Otherwise, post pictures of your car and ignore comments you don't like or agree with..

I dont think its just this forum.. im sure it happens with any car. If a Mustang guy puts "Cobra" decals and rims on his car, im sure he would get flamed on the Mustang forums. I laugh at the people over here that put "Lexus" emblems on their Toyotas all the time.. It just looks like your trying to say your car is something that its not.. I personally dont care, slap all the stickers you want on your car, like you said, it is your car.

 

i wouldnt compare it to cobra. spirit r badge is made by mazda not an aftermarket company like cobra.. i do see where your coming from but i dont really agree in this case..

my car really is an rx7, given its not a 99 or 2000 or whatever but its still a rx7.

your basically saying i cant put an R1 lip on my car either since it didnt come with it..

Scrub's comment was just "messing around" as he mentions at the end of his comment. Now, it would've been different if he didn't say "Just messing around." There's a difference between being sarcastic versus being sarcastic but confirming openly afterwards he was just playing around.

Anyhow, your car looks great...I wouldn't change a thing.

I can't really make sense out of what you're saying. Cobra's are made by Ford just like any other Mustang. SVT is just a sub-division of Ford, and the new Shelby GT500s are made by Ford as well. I don't think anyone cares really about your Spirit R sticker, but what you said doesn't make much sense.

I do think that Scrubs' comment was a little out of line, even if he did say "Just messin' around." It's like the part in Talladega Nights when Ricky Bobby says to his manager, "With all due respect, I didn't realize you'd gotten experimental surgery to get your ***** removed. What? I said with all due respect!"

Either way, try not to take that stuff too serious, whether it's people just joking or true haters.

24/seven, you took scrub's joke a bit too serious. afterall, he IS joking.. there are other replies on this thread.. even throughout the forum of people straight up dissin, not joking around, and just being plain rude...

there's always gonna be someone who loves what you do, and some that hates it. its your car. do what you like.. I'm planning on putting spirit R badge and rear seats in my car... just because i love the way it looks.

Only thing that really bothers me out on the street is when a hondas put "Rally Art" , or a Toyota putting "Mugen Power" emblem on their car.... that really makes me wanna ....

Negative, they are retrofitted 02 NSX HID's. They aren't finished yet, I am in the process of making a Carbon fiber shroud.

i just hate people being so negitive. they must be kids. i cant take it tho.. i see so many FD's i dont like but i never say anything unless they say something to me.

but ya i need to remove those efini badges, makes no sense having them and spirit r badges..


i think ford owns cobra now but im pretty sure they didnt back in the day. and shelby is an aftermarket company.. saleen too.. i remember as a kid my older bro had his mustang sent out to saleen.. as far as im comcerned thats aftermarket.

still one of my favorite cars is the shelby cobra.. ford engine but the car was made by shelby

 

i like .. to each is own tho.. i really just want high breams..

 

Saleen is 100% aftermarket, but Shelby is a little tough. All Shelby GT 500s are made at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant. For the most part, they're just using his name to promote the car.

I personally like the dual headlight look.

 

Are those the knightsports? I was wondering... how much did get those for. I want to get some for my FD.
