oil cooler(s) - how important?
Just out of curiosity, how big a deal is the second oil cooler in the R1 FD.. and for that matter how much does the single oil cooler do?
I was just noticing the other day that the fins on the one in my touring FD are all bent up so I doubt it's getting nearly as much air flow as it's supposed to. Also, I've been kinda wary to road race my 7 because of the lack of 2nd oil cooler, but maybe I'm just being paranoid..

Take a small screwdriver and CAREFULLY straighten out those fins one at a time. Then take a hose and with MODERATE spray blast em' out from the REAR. (IF YOU USE A STRONG SPRAY YOU'LL JUST BEND THEM AGAIN.) They'll be as clean as new. Do your radiator as well. You won't need to take a shower after doing this - guaranteed!:p

Fluidyne was supposed to be comming out with a oilcooler kit for the FD but that has not come through yet. I am just waiting for my friend to bring me my 2nd oil cooler from Japan.
He has a source that brings in 7 containers a week. Anyone need a 2000 13b and tranny. He has an entire front clip comming in which i am taking the oil coolers, seats and gauge cluster out of.
I already got 2 sets of rear seats for the FD from him and a bunch of other stuff.

all you guys in CA get all the cool ****, damnit
my bud here in NC had dual Setrab oil coolers in his single turbo, but I think you need to remove the pop up headlights (sleek lights only) in order to fit them in...they work though...I think his temps stayed at 180-190 even on a hot day at WFO
anyway, here is the website http://www.setrab.se/setrab.htm

I was wondering about this as well, and have been trying to find anyone who makes a second oil cooler for the non-R models. Other than the one listed above, does anyone make a kit to convert to dual oil coolers?
