downsides to unhooking stock BOV???

downsides to unhooking stock BOV???
I really like the way it sounds when it's unhooked.. are their any downsides to this??? Does anyone know of any>?

so it may spit out oil and it will also suck in unclean air if it's not filtered.hm.... how does that K and N set up work??

Dude, i vented mine and when i went to test drive it there was this loud *** noise when i let off the gas, im hopin my car is ok, it sounded like a loud, woooooooooosh, no oil marks or anything in the engine bay, did my turbo go bad, did i pop my engine... PLEASE ADVISE.........

ejmack> havent u ever heard a BOV? :p Once you plug up the air box and let the BOV vent outside, it is significantly louder...sounds like it's working properly and not venting while you're on the throttle, so its nothing to worry about

Heres the #
I used the K&N's the number is 62-1370 its a 2in. in dia. by 1.5in. long with a 1in. hole it also has the chrome end cap They look really good in the car.

Thats what i though too. it only lets in air at vacuum it doesnt leak or anything during boost. I also saw a few other post of guys saying the same thing.
