Anyone using Apexi N1 silencers???

For those of you who have them or have used them in the past, what did you think? Thinking about getting them but would like some feedback first.

Thanks in advance!!

They work good, but on a dyno you will notice severe HP loss.

I just picked up my A'pexi GT exhaust and installed it with the Silencer. The silencer works very well, but it does restrict the airflow A LOT. Once I took the silencer off the car was much louder, and the car was quite a bit faster.

I had an N1 Dual with DP & stock cat. I needed the silencers to drive it on the street because it was really loud without them. The silencers eliminated the highway drone and made the noise level tolerable.

At the time, I hated running the silencers because they cost me a lot of top end power. The power loss was so drastic I mistakenly thought the silencers took me down to stock exhaust power levels. After I sold the N1 Dual, I reinstalled the stock exhaust temporarily and could not believe how much low & mid power I lost with the stock exhaust. So for those of you who think you loose a lot of power with the silencers, you do, but it's still a hell of a lot better than the stock exhaust.

I think silencers do their job very well and are necessary if you ever want to take a long trip or keep a low profile on the street. Just take them out when you go racing.

Thanks for all the input. With the midpipe on, the car is a little too loud for my taste. My neighbors thought the car was loud with the dp,cat, and n1's!

I would think that the backpressure would give you a little more midrange torque despite the hp loss....we'll have to see.

Thanks everyone!
