Yes, another TPS thread...
I've been doing searchs and crap to try and solve my problem for awhile and I finally found this thread which is exactly my problem...
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=tps
I went down to Autozone to see if I could find a new one and they want $350 for one. Screw that. So I went up to Napa and they wanted $294. Screw that. So I went up to O'Reilys and they couldn't even get me a price.
Will the TPS off my S4 work in my S5? They are both N/A's and I know the one in the S4 is good. Plus, where exactly the TPS? I havn't done much searching but if someone could tell me it would make my life much easier.
Thanks,
Mason

On the top of the throttlebody on the front, you'll see a black plunger-like deal that is pushed in when you give the car throttle. Yours is an S5, so you actually have 2 TPS's put together.
No, you can't use an S4 one, it is the single plunger type, yours is the dual. Do a search on 'TPS', you'll find ways to check and see if it indeed bad. If so, you can probably get a used one on the forum $50 or so, but you never know for sure if it's any better than the one you got. Keep in mind unless they are new, your swapping a 15 year old part for another 15 year old part.

I used a product that fixed mine. It is made by CRC. It's called QD Electronic cleaner.
On the front of the small aerosol can it says,"Cleans and protects sensitive electronic equipment. Helps prevent contact failure. Leaves no residue. Remove sensor from your car Spray liberally into each plunger. Push the plunger in and out for a long time. let it dry out. Do this several more times. It might work. It did for mine. It was well worht the few dollars it cost. BTW I bought this at Advance Auto. They were trying to get me a new sensor and had them listed for $200 I think. The never could get me one. I tried this as I bought a junk sensor from a guy on this board. He ignored my attempts at trying to resolve the situation. I should try repairing the other sensors and selling them. Note: I am not promising this will work. It did work for my S5 TPS.
