I was just trying to establish how full of b.s. this guy on craigslist is. Just read the ad and compare to the engine bay pic he sent me. So I presume this pic is suppose to be a 13b REW?
"$1500 or best offer. I have a panda 1986 Mazda Rx-7 that I just outfitted with a bunch of upgrades and wrecked it... But everything IN* the car is still good, only the body was damaged, so now I'm selling the entire thing. It has a new 93 Rx-7 engine in it, ready to go and be used in another car, 18,292 miles on it as of now. All new catalytic converters (all of them...) new exhaust, new hubs, new rotors, new [front] calipers, new wheels [XXR black] new headlights/setup, new steel oil cooler lines, new series 5 wiring, new master/slave clutch cylinder, new clutch, new transmission etc etc.. I put A LOT of work into this thing, before I destroyed it. Also the LSD is good for re-use as well, its still fairly new, but was like the first thing I did"

So I know this guy is B.S.ing me now. Anyway what are the advantages of having a s5 intake on a s4 keg? Are s5 intakes more efficient?
What about swapping intakes manifolds on TII motors? would that bring any benefits as well?
Btw he is also using the term "new" too liberally which made me suspect him.

YEah I doubt he has a "new" transmission in it.. New to him maybe... THat motor does not look like it only has 18k on it either. I wonder how wrecked it is.. The wheels are worth $500 if the tires are good, the engine if it runs and isnt ruined is another $500.
With the limited info and no exterior pictures looks like a $500-$1000 car. The s5 manifolds are a bit of a better design than the 86-88.

I had a pretty long txt message argument with him. I was the one who according to him got "pwnd" and ended up an idiot after a long exchange of not so friendly towards the end text messages. Ill post them once i figure out how to take snapshots from my phone

just walk away, the guy is obviously an ignorant kid who doesn't know his *** from a hole in the ground or is lying through his teeth just to sell his piece of ****.
there is no benefit of slapping an S5 UIM onto an S4 block as the dynamic chamber will not be functional and it is tuned to the 9.7:1CR rotors compared to the S4 9.4:1CR rotors. if he ported it and removed the exhaust diffusers i might argue that it would be worthwhile, but i doubt the block was ported at all, if it was then i would run away instead of walk.
just tell him if he wants to be embarrassed further to see this thread. sometimes a little learning lesson is what some people need.

aside from him lying through his teeth about the engine (and probably every thing else) that damn thing is filthy. if he is going to try to sale you a pile of ****, he should at least clean it and make it look not so shitty
