Thumbs up yaaaaay!! my tranny just crapped out on me!

well, i was cruisin' along pickin up some ho's in my pimp mobile... when all of a sudden i hear horrible rattling from my tranny. i was currently in 2nd. so i shifted to third, same sound. so i shifted to 4th, nothing. 5th, nothing. so i parked on the side of the road. i turn off the car. i start it back up. i put it in neutral. i roll in 1st, same sound. i press the clutch peddal down. the noise goes away. i release the clutch peddal, it's the same sound...

i am hoping it's just a bearing that came loose or something. it shifted great guys... great. and i was thinking. it HAS to be a bearing cause it was making noises with the clutch engaged before... >bearing< noises.

THIS HAS BEEN THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

first the cat pissed on me, then my tranny blew... YAYYYY!

*points sternly..."It's just a bearing."

Did that help?

No radio surround...but if spraintz doesn't pick my S5 up off me before too long I'll part it out, and you can have dibs on the surround.

Might be a bearing, but from what I have been told; when it get to that point that you describe, its pretty much done

Get in touch with Rob @ Pineapple racing, best price I could ever get for a rebuild tranny. I went thru 3 NA trannys before I talk to Rob

it sounds like the throw-out bearing, and if you drive it like this for a few more weeks you will eventually forget about the noise because you would have gotten used to it

haha, i think it's the throwout bearing too. that's what my friend said also. i'm gonna try and drop the tranny tom. yeah, that's right, christmas day... ALL WORK, **** PLAY!

guys, i really don't think my tranny is shot just yet... it shifts GREAT and didn't grind any gears.

and there is no chance in hell i'll get use to the noise.
