Xenon headlight kit in the process!!!!

From the maker of the Stainless Steel gauge pod comes a 4 light Xenon light kit. I dont have any pics yet but some will be available soon.

Heres some general info on the kit. It will consist of:
- 4 Hella Xenon lights (of course)
- the bracketry to mount the lights
- a bracket to have the flip up lights raise to the correct height.
- possibly the necessary wiring

The question I have for you guys is. Would you rather have everything all prewired or would you guys like to wire them yourself to save some money? If I do the wiring all you will have to do is plug it into your stock headlight plug. The other question I have would you like to have 2 low beams and 2 high beams or have 4 low beams and have 2 lights on in the low position and have 4 lights on in the high position?

The target price is $400. It may seem high but the lights itself are not cheap by any means.

Let me hear your feedback. I need to have everything in all figured out before I go into production of these kits. Also let me know if you would be interested at all. Like all the things I make, the kit will be high quality, satisfaction guaranteed.

Yes, there are little modules attached to each of the lights.

I would definately buy it. I was just thinking about doing this myself and the price you are giving seems really good. Personally I would rather have two low beams and two high beams. What I would like is for the low beams to stay on when the high beams are engaged. Any idea on when you plan to have these ready?

Thats ok, it is kinda explained poorly. Lets try this again.

I can have on one side of the car either 1 high beam and 1 low beam or have 2 low beams. If there is the 2 low beam lights both of the lights will go on when you turn on your high beams. Thats still kinda confusing.

Lets try this.
LH HL - only the H will light when high beams are turned on.

LL LL - on this one both L's will light when the high beams are turned on.

They sell the lights in either a high beam or an low beam.

Hope that helps.

I hope to have kits ready to sell within a couple weeks. I will start to take perorders as soon as I get pics up so everyone knows what they're getting.

If I do decide to have these prewired all you will have to do is plug them into your factory headlight plug.

I' m also interested in this...any idea yet on how much more for pre-wired?. I think it would look more custom/exotic if all 4 lights could be on. Let me know when you get this going...maybe I could come take a look before going in on it.

Hey guys I think I might have made a mistake, well my vendor did. Anyways I think he quoted me a price on the regular halogen lights and not the Xenon light setup. I thought that price was quit low. No biggie though. Sorry for any confusion and dissapointment.

Well the $400 reflected on the price he quoted me for the lights the other day which he said were the Xenon lights. For some reason, now that I think about it, it can't be the Xenon lights at the price he gave me. The lights are $70 each which takes me up to $280 for the lights alone, leaving me with $120 to make the bracketry and all the other things needed. So as you can see, its pretty tight with that $400 price I have up.

Can the 12+ year old wiring of an FC handle Xenon lights?

Do the new lights draw the same amperage as standard halogen? Will we need new relays, or wiring?

I like the idea though. Keep us posted!

I would definatly think so, cuz my freind just put some of these lights on his 1990 FZR600. And these bikes have CRAPPY electrical systems, usually just putting slightly brighter Halogen bulbs screws things up, and he has reported nothing but very bright lights after his swap.
And about these lights, they take a bunch of power to be ignited, then the ballasts take over and use very little power to keep them lit, I believe the kits should come with relays, ballasts and ignitors, lights too of course.

You must have two low-beam and two high-beam lights. The high-beam lights focus and aim the light completely differently to the low-beam ones because they do a different job.

Low-beams are for general driving so they're short range, wide dispersal, aimed downwards and put more light towards the curb. High-beams are for long-range vision, so they are aimed straight ahead with a narrower focus to acheive that.

If you use two-low beam lights per side, flicking the dimmer switch to "high" will not increase lights range at all, it'll just put more light in the same place as before. I doubt it's legal to not have proper high-beams.

yes....the HID systems themselves go for 500-600 a shot....plus the metal and the wiring for the kit and all....and production...ud have to sell them for nearly 800 to make a profit....
