ok so im driving right now home in my 88 vert..its kinda cold here in san diego and and i push the button so the window goes up and then pop!!! kabllooom!! i dont know but it sounded like a i broke real hard plastic or something..and im like ****! and then it doesnt go up!! and im like tf!!?? so i grab the window and start pulling it up at the same time im pushing the button and it goes up real slow but it wont go up by itself..what happened?

 

Your cable broke. There is an excellent write up in the Archives specifically for the 88 vert. Go to Archives and find it on page 2 or 3.
