WTF! Still one confused **** about injectors...

Ok, i'm looking for 720cc injectors for my car. The more I look around, the more different type I see and the more I get confused about what the hell everyone is talking about. First of all, here is what I have noticed about injectors:

- There are high impedence and low impedence injectors
- Some have an oval and some have a square type connector

Now I have an 89' TII, does it use high or low impedence injectors stock? Do the stock ones use oval or square connectors? Are 720cc injectors going to be high or low impedence?

Here is what I am looking at getting:

http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...ROD&ProdID=646

Now after buying these, is the connector style the same as the S5 TII, and will I have to put in any resistors?

I keep hearing so many conflicting facts about injectors so I thought maybe SOMEONE could clear it all up for me.

i could be wrong but i always thought that the t2's came with low impedence , and the s5 na s came with high . and that the injector harness fitting was square

your injectors are saturated drivers also called High Imp(10-16 ohm)...what you are looking at on that site is most likely a low imp injector..call them..I am sure they can tell you if it will fit
http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ro.../injector.html
go there^^^ and see what you need

ALL the RX-7 injectors after mid 1987 are HIGH impedence.

I know nothing else about the rest of your post. The Greddy picture looks to have square/rectangular jacks on it though.....which makes me GUESS that they MIGHT be low impedence. Might not be low impedence though. Send them an e-mail to find out. Or search the web for GREDDY INJECTORS.

Anyone know of a place that sells 720cc injectors that are high impedance and have the oval plugs? I dont know of a lot of places that sell injectors that list out their details.

the greddy 720cc injectors from rx7store are LOW impedence, i orderd them and used them on my 87t2 and worked out great, if you have a 89 you have high impedence adn will need to use a resistor pack.

Do they have the oval or square type connectors?

Can different connectors be bought to use the oval type ones on a square type injector plug? Where would I find one of those? Also, at rx7.com they have the "injector resistor" packs, but are they just standard 10ohm resistors I can buy at Radio Shack?

Zenki FC's use Bosch "rectangular" fuel injectors plugs.
Most of the big auto parts chains stores carry them - check Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Kragen / Schucks / Checkers - they are priced about $10 - $12.
You might want to also check out K-Mart, as they carry some odd stuff sometimes.

ALL Kouki FC's use high impedence, oval ND fuel injector plugs.

Yes, you can buy 10-ohm (I recommend the 20-watt) "sandblock" resistors from Radio Shack. Use one per fuel injector.

The GReddy 720's are standard ND, top-feed, low-impedence fuel injectors.
If you are going to try and use them on your 87.5+ FC, you'll need the resistor blocks.
If you're going to use them on your Kouki FC, you'll need the Bosch rectangular plugs.

Greddy 720cc square low impedence injector from rx7store

S5 TII high impedence oval injector harness

Radioshack 10watt/10ohm resistors Part # 271-132 (package of 2 under $2)

If you go this route I recommend you buy the square connectors to replace the stock oval ones. I also soldered in my resistors at the ECU.

So, now that we have determined that the 720 cc injectors from rx7.com are LI, I have to ask: WHERE DO WE GET HIGH IMPEDENCE 720cc INJECTORS???

Evidently they don't make a 720 HI injector. You purchase the LI and install a resistor from what I gather. Injector connectors at AutoZone if you need them.
