wtf is a solined resister?
alright, so heres the deal, swaping in a t2 into my n/a gxl, i was reading a parts list and i have everything i need minus four parts that i have absolutly no clue what the hell they are... the first one is a solenoid resistor, the turbo intake duckt, turbo boost sensor and the knock controll box can someone help elxpain what they are and where i can get them? i know the answers probably on the forum but hell! that searching tool sucks!

the TID is a rubber s- shaped tube that comes off the front of the turbo and connects to the AFM. the boost sensor is a small box that has a vacuum nipple attached and is located on the pass. side front strut tower. the knock control box is located to the right of the ecu and is a small gray box with one clip on it. try the classifieds section to obtain these parts

the selinoid resistor i belive on some earlier s4's is a part of the efi system it is located on the pass. side right behind head light assemb. rectangular silver box i have a knock control box from a 87 tII and i have a selinoid resistor but its from an 86 base if you are interested in knock box PM me

The solenoid resistor is located behind the pass side headlight, underneath the airbox, and bolted to the bottom of the strut tower. Silver in color. There is about a page dedicated to it in the Haynes manual. Look there.
