WTF! I swear, I don't have a check connector!

I have searched this, and now I know exactly what to look for, and I swear, I don't have any yellow connectors, and I don't see any other wires hanging anywhere. I am not stupid or anything, I just know that for some reason or another, I don't have a check connector, I have searched that side of the car, and I didn't even find anything that was cut. So if anyone has a logical explanation for this, please tell. Another question, if this doesn't work out, can I just wire the fuel pump to the battery, and have either a seperate switch, or wire it into the ignition? thanks again for listening to me rant.

I'm guessing you're talking about the fuel pump check connector, not the initial set connector (I've haven't got one of those!)
This is only there to overide the safety cut-out switch in the air flow meter so you can test the pump without starting the engine. You only need to use this once in a blue moon so butchering your wiring to solve this is a waste of time. If you want to check your pump, pull the aircleaner off, turn the ignition on and open the AFM flap slightly. The fuel pump should start up.
BTW, never over-ride this safety feature on a permantant basis. It could save your life in an accident.

I will try that in a bit, and if it don't work, then what? I have a few fuses that are not in place, and where someone said that there was a 7.5 amp fuse for the fuel pump, I have a 20 amp fuse there instead.

I pushed the flapper, and I think I heard a click, did it twice, and heard it a second time, but that might be the spring inside, I don't think there is any fuel coming out of the hose. I don't think there is a bad fuel pump because I found the sheet when they took it to the only existing Mazda dealership and there was no mention about a bad fuel pump on the sheet. If it is bad, I will buy an aftermarket one.

So, why not hold the flapper door open with something, and go to the rear of the car and find the fuel pump connector on the aft side of the left rear strut tower(under the carpet) and see if you have 12v on the BLUE wire. You should with the flapper door open. If you do, check for a good ground also on the black wire. Can you hear the pump? I can't. Bad ears. Crack a banjo bolt on the fuel rail or take a hose off to see if its pumping. If you had no 12v, you need to check the fuse. Should be on the third row of fuses from the bottom, and the second one over from the left as you look straight at the box. If thats good, check the circuit opening relay under the dash, right side of the steering column, maybe yellow in color, not sure right now.

FUSE BOX JPG BY the way, if they had a 20 amp fuse there, maybe you should change it back to the 7.5 amp fuse.

The reason why I don't hear it is because when I turn on the ignition, I have this beeping sound coming from my car even when I shut the door, then like 15 seconds later, it sorta sounds like an annoying alarm clock. But I will see if the fuel pump is even hooked up, and if it is, check the volts on the blue wire, I guess I have to have someone turn the key to start.

I didn't get any volts what so ever, and I had someone turn the key, I had the flapper held open. The fuse is fine but it is a 20 amp fuse, maybe it will be different when I put that 7.5 amp fuse in.
