Hooked up the throttle cable backwards....
Seriously though, you say you finally got it to idle. What was it doing before? What have you done to the car to make it not want to idle?
Check common sense stuff first:
Vacuum leaks
AFM/boost sensor/air temp sensor/coolant temp sensor properly hooked up.
Check for TPS adjustment.
Check timing.
