Wrong Throwout bearing in clutch kit ?

I got the new throwout bearing from the Exedy Clutch kit. the throwout bearing that it came with looks kinda different than the old one

Is it the same or the kit gave me the wrong one ? it seems that it's a bit bigger than the old one.

I'm trying to put the engine and tranny back into the car at the same time. so I put the tranny back on the engine. I tried to move the shift fork but I can barely move it. Just wonder if I'm doing it correctly (or if this bearing is the right part)

Hope this helps as its not rx7 specific but my friend and I did a clutch on his 240 and bought an excedy clutch kit and the throwing bearing looked different than the one that came out of the car. It fit on and has been drivi g the car for 2 weeks no problems.

The new bearing looks like the one I used on my S5 T2. Does it fit over the input shaft? Mount to the front place ok?

it does mount. it's just that after it's in, i feels kinda akward.

im just installed the engine back into the car today. spent a good 4 hours. some alignments were messed up thats why it took that long. jesus. Gonna try to shift it around tomorrow and see what happens.

I had the same bearing and it was cocked and didn't fit right so I used a Mazda OEM. I think Mazda uses Koyo if I recall. I didn't like the Exedy just like you. Also, the clutch disc looked really cheap, but I installed it anyway. Does your disk look like this (its for a 90 NA)

Mine slips right into the stock location. it just that it doesn't feel like it can push the pressure plate in ...

I put the engine and tranny back into the car already. but won't be able to fire it up to test until next week. waiting for some more parts to come >_<

well, I guess I can try to connect the slave cylinder and see if the clutch would move. see if I can do that tomorrow or the day after.

yes, it's the exact same disc. well I mean I don't mind the disc at all, seriously we're not making 12390812309 hp so as long as it last (I assume it would) and it runs. it's all good. Exedy is the OE manufacture anyway. Just not so sure if the Throwout bearing is right ...

the Exedy kit that I got is 10038. it should be right ? ...
