Wow that's a lot of hatch space!

I learned today just how cavernous the rear hatch of my car was. My friends always complain, saying that FCs aren't practical, and that they're smaller than sardine cans, etc. etc., but today I proved them wrong. I managed to fit four 17" wheels and tires, four assembled struts and springs, a front bumper cover, my large car duster, tripod, camera bag, and a hamper full of laundry into my car (among a few other miscellanious bits). There was still a little more room in the hatch area too, although the car was effectively transformed into a 1-seater.

Does anyone have any incredible, logic-defying stories of stuffing a lot of...stuff into your FC?

I had 4 17 inch rims with 50 series tires on them in the back, with 2 jack stands and a 2 ton car jack, I was impressed, but as you said, it made it a one seater, and there was still some room

When i was shopping for sports cars before I got my FC, it was far and away the best in terms of storage space.

I rarely carry other people, so the lack of a back seat doesn't matter, and it has a suprising amount of cargo space back there.

I packed every single thing I owned into my FC when I moved to Fort Lauderdale, including my 27 inch tv and all my clothes, shoes, and my surround sound system. I couldn't see anything around me at all, but I got all my stuff down here in one 14 hour trip!!!

I went to my friends farm to pick up some fire wood. I wasn't planning on getting much but his power of persuation was to much for me. I must have fit 300 lbs of wood in the hatch, behind the seats and on the passenger side. NEVER AGAIN.

I once moved my entire apartment with a beater FC. Including bigscreen 50" tv, washer, dryer, king waterbed, and sectional couch (came apart into chair-sized sections). One time, with a very rough partscar, I hauled 24" diameter tree trunk sections from the back of my property up a STEEP grass hill to the road for the county to come pick up.

I also used to pull other FCs with a friend, a chain, and an FC.

One other time I removed the passenger seat and hauled 6 rotary engine blocks stacked in the passenger floorboard from east TN to middle NC.

Another time I had sold all the good running cars I had in one week (unexpectedly) and drove a blown-up FC through the mountains about 40 miles to pickup a cheap used motor. Upon return home with said used block, I installed it into the same car and had it running the next day.

In my old 91 I used to pick up my families Christmas tree...those pine needles were a pain in the @$$ to get out!!! Other than that I have had 4 wheels and tires (not mounted) in my 89 t2...nothing special like a couple of dead bodies, or a naked fat woman or something.

The length is good also.
You can load 7 8-foot long 2x4's & still close the hatch.
One time i carried a 4K generac, 2 chain saws & a bunch of garden tools with the hatch closed.
