WOW nice compression #'s

so i went to sidepex in rosmead (in la area if anyone is interested) and i did a compression test on my recently purchased 10ae. the previous owner seemed to have been bullshitting about a lot of thiongs...and he said he had 60k on a rebuild and streetport. norman at sidepex said it was never rebuilt because some seal was not broken? and that guy also told me he a s5 turbo..which he norman also verified as false. BUT on a lighter note..my compression #'s were extremely high./...about 115 in both rotors!!! is this even possible with a car with 124000 miles on it? o yea then for bad **** again..i have a leaking main oil seal..and a crack in my turbo manifold..anyone know how much it will cost for the manifold? overall im pleased though///since my comp #'s are so high..no rebuild for me for a LONGGG time

Cracks are typical, if they're not very large or severe, don't worry about it. Those are pretty good numbers, but if the car was taken good care of it's not surprising.

Yeah, the manifolds tend to have hairline cracks. The seal is a fun one to replace, off with the front cover (ugh)

Small cracks in the exhaust manifold I dont worry about. Although if its a big crack and is on the out side of the manifold Ill weld a bead on it.

Can you get a sound or video clip of the car running?

if it sounds "burbly" and idles weird, it might actually be a streetport. how could he tell it wasn't rebuilt?
