Wow I'm mentally challenged....radiator repair.

I was jacking my car up to put the underbelly tray back on due to bad oil temps and while jacking my car up from the middle of the cross member it some how slipped off of it and fell directly onto my koyo radiator I had it right in the middle but somehow it just slipped and bent the middle of the bottom tank of the radiator as well as broke one of the bolts holding on the bracket. Anyways my question is do i need to buy another one of these rads at 300+ a pop or can I get the end tank fixed some how? Also if it's not leaking coolant am I cool to drive around on it until I get it fixed / replaced? I guess my microtech will let me know if anything is wrong but i'm just wondering if anyone else had any input. Thanks guys. Man this is killin' me, I just spent 1k driving a rented truck and dolly up to dallas to have it tuned then this, not a good month. Anyways any help would be great! thanks.

Give it to the guy in the thread about fabricating things for the FC so he can use it for fitment.

i'm sure he really wants to just give away a $300 radiator, like you guys would i'm sure....

why does the guy need a performance koyo for fitment? it has the same dimensions as the stock radiator except it is a little bit thicker.

Ok karack I always love giving you good deals on stuff I'll take some pics as soon as the new one comes in. It's just dented in the middle kinda bad but doesn't leak. Someone with the tools I'm sure can fix it pretty easily. I'll probably get rid of it in the 100 dollar shipped range.

yea, the center support is a slippery location to jack on since it is sloped.

i prefer to jack the front tow hooks, they are plenty sturdy for jacking and easy enough to get to even on extremely lowered 7s.

you know I always jack up in that same location as your said but this time I said **** it for some odd reason and descided to go this route and I hate to say it but I think I was being lazy in my reasoning for doing it this way this time. NEVER again will I do that I guarantee you.

i'm sure of that, it could have also been the oil pan, and that is a bitch to replace in the car without a hoist... it could always be worse.

yeah true that. Or my daughter could have been playing around the car when it did that so you are right. A 328 dollar mistake is fine by me

teh oil pan is teh tough!

You might not have ruined it.

Probably, though

that sucks ***... I always jack my car from there! it seems to be about the only place that doesn't bend when I jack from it. Unlike everywhere else. The tow hooks work pretty well too though - but it's hard to get alot of height unlessyou have a bigger jack than I do.
