Well, i dont think running it has any negative effects... I run it every once in a while in the hope that it does clean up the carbon a bit, but the motor doesnt run as smoothly when its running the cleaner through. I don't think it helps nearly as much as the atf treament does, but it ought to help a little.. my 2 cents,

Fuel system cleaner will lower your octane which is not good on a turbo car. Also, it will not work the same as ATF. The whole basis of the ATF treatment is letting it soak your seals for AT LEAST 24 hours, to break the carbon deposits down. Also, that fuel system crap doesn't work very well, even the techron injector cleaner. But, I assume you are referring to like Slick 50 high mileage fuel system treatment... yeah it will not do much.

The high mileage stuff that is supposed to re seal, re finish, or whatever the metal parts inside your engine is bad news... The slots that your apex seals move in and out in will become clogged, keeping hte seals from moving, thus losing compression. I would NOT under any circumstance put that stuff in my eninge...

Injectorcleaner

The only stuff i´d use in a rotary is Redline S1 fuelinjector cleaner, this actually works and does not seem to do any damage, but all the other stuff that claims to clean out valves and psitons i dont touch, since they are designed to go around inside the engine. Not good for e rotary.
