Is it worth it?

Hey guys, this my first post and I am a noob so bare with me. This guy I know is selling an rx-7 turbo II i believe an 89 for 2600 it needs a new tranny its drivable but hard to shift gears it gets stuck and wont go in at times mostly 3rd gear. How much would that cost me and I'm sure theres plenty more repairs because he drove that car hard a lot of racing.

look in the "for sale" section

you often see turbo tranny between 150-250$ + shipping...

most of the time you can also arrange something with JDM imports shops for just buying the tranny
