Woooo!!! I'm now the proud owner of a White '90 TurboII

A few hours ago me, my fiancee, and a friend all drove an hour away to check out a TurboII I saw on eBay. It was snowing pretty bad, but we persevered through the troubles, and arrived at our destination. I spoke with the guy, I said I'll buy it today if you cut me a deal. He said he couldn't do it for any less than $1500, I said "why not" and bought it.. engine doesn't run, supposedly "blew a rotor" according to a Mazda mechanic. Translation: Chunked an apex seal is my guess. I MIGHT be incredibly lucky and it might be an easy fix, I haven't determined yet.

But anyhow.. I was thinking I should rub it in node's face, that I saw this sucker on eBay last night at about 1:00 am, eMailed him, got a reply that night, saw it in the morning, called him, set up a time, went up there, paid for it with my credit card via paypal (hehe), and had it towed home free with AAA. Goooooo AAA!!! Best $80 I ever spent (my membership, upgrade to a AAA Plus membership, then for like $20 get my fiancee a Membership and free upgrade to AAA Plus).. 6 tows a year @ 100 miles each. Free. Well, free with the membership.. it's great, you should all do it. It's towed my racecar twice, and this car once..

Oh yeah, and here's pictures of the car on auction..

Congrats to you both. At least you know what' your getting up front.

My $3200 vert ended up needing a minor trans. rebuild and a new TPS. Still getting some backfiring during strong accleration. New exhaust did help a bit but I'm guessing a full tuneup is needed.

Well the vert is very cool and has good accleration (unlike some have said it handles & acclerates just fine)
