Sought help from the guys on this forum....

My assumption is that freeing up the exhaust was the main factor. The stock cats were restrictive and choking the flow, thus poor power. The 11 psi I'm running is solely due to the upgrades in intake and exhaust.

The mods that I had done previously were not helping until I could get the exhaust to exit more freely. I would not expect that simply bolting on a downpipe and high flow cat would give you anywhere close to a 60 hp gain. Tuning fuel ratios helps quite a bit as well!

221.0 RWHP 218.3 lb/ft

Didn't spend time fine tuning.

4 pulls, just really adjusted 5k - 8k down about 6% ave.
12:1 up to 5k, then about 11.3:1 up to 7200.

Is the richening to under 12:1 at high RPM's for safety's sake? ie, would you have a little more power running at 12.1 all across? Because I know N/A's make more power running almost 14:1 up high, and about 12.8:1 in the midrange.
So at no point were you adding fuel? Cool. Your car mustave been running pretty rich.

Are you running the stock TURBO? My ratings are 300 FWHP with the HKS SPORT TURBO UPGRADE KIT, Which actually is just a bit better than the stock Turbo.

Wow! Over 60 hp gain from those few mods

Adding the DP and free flow cat obviously also helped the other mods work more efficently

billz: mike was telling me how jealous he was!

nice car mike

chatch,

My torque curve was basically a flat line. I hit 227 lb/ft @ about 3100 rpm. peak was a tiny jump to 229 lb/ft at about 4200 rpm.I didnt drop below 225 lb/ft until after 5200 rpm. (just from memory)

I'll post a scan of the dyno slip shortly.
