wiring harness how to???

does anyone know of one that shows EXACTLY where the plugs go?

im searching the forums and have not found anything yet...

same with the FSM -- its kinda complex

i need pics (preferably) that show the connectors or atleast have a listing thats like..

the red connector goes to (insert part name)

or something like that...

i have no emmissions so maybe someone with the knowledge can just tell me ... the red one goes to... and the green one goes to... and the little metal circle goes to...

etc

that would be AWESOME if anyone can do that... im still searching and scanning the FSM, but anyone that knows please chime in.. even if you only know were a few plugs go, that would be greatly appreciated

PLEASE HELP

thanks

Umm what model?what year?what plugs? Why are you messing with it?

I've completely rewired my S4 TII Harness so I might be able to help.

BTW having a Multimeter is a HUGE help since you can tone out wires to see what wires go where.

In the FSM under Engine Emissions section you can go down about 10 pages and find a Pin out list of what each pin position does on the EFI harness.

awesome digitech ... ok bare with me here goes...

im in the middle of an engine swap.
i got the vac hoses connected... i also plugged in the 4 fuel injectrs and the one thats pretty much grouped with the injectors...the green one...water pump housing or something up front.. you know the one

other than that im lost....
what i need is some kind of color coded check list to make sure im pluggin things in right..

if you can just say red plug goes to .. etc
that would be great...
i have no emmissions so keep that in mind.
if you can list what is needed to get the car started and stay started, and which connections will not be used (please try to use the color with the plug, and say specific names that can be searched up in the fsm)
that would be HUGE of you
i have a series 4 TII, but im using a jspec s5 upper and lower intake...

please?

Well It's pretty damn easy. Everything has a seperate plug configuration.

The only things you can really get switched would be the red injector plugs.

Those are pretty simple though.

The branch closest to the fire wall are the rear injectors. The short length one goes to the primary injectors while the longer one goes to the LIM secondary injector.

On the Front injector part of the harness you have that green plug. That goes to the water pump housing.

The Bac is near the ACV plugs which branch off near tyhe Alternator. This is also green but the plug slots will only work on the right one.

The ACV plugs are white and black. I think they are both 2 wire plugs only. If you don't have an ACV then ignore them.

Also near this should be a single wire with a big single plug connector at the end. This should be your O2 sensor plug.

The Solenoid Rack....
Pretty damn easy. They are color coded.
I think The orange one is for the Hot start Fuel pressure regulator assist. Pretty much it keeps the FPR vacuum at a set pressure when the engine is hot. It prevents your car from having hot start problems. I am keeping this function on my vac system.

They grey and blue plugs are useless I believe because of ACV stuff.

The Black wire with the ring terminal is the ground. You hook this up to the screw hole on the rear iron housing on the drivers side. It goes to the same hole the Vac rack is supposed to screw to.

Umm hmm.
On the rear injector part there are 2 plugs.
The one with a Brown and yellow wire is for your Accelerated Warm up. You can leave this unplugged(it's a bad idea anyways).

The other white plug with green wire thing goes some where lol! I have no idea. I was told it goes to a Power steering plug some where but I have no idea. I'll have to tone that thing out again.

OH!
Near the solenoid rack you will have a small yellow and brown or red wire with a single plug on the end. This goes to the temp sensor under the oil pedastal.

Also near this is a single wire which has a big single connection plug on it. This goes to your knock sensor.

Again the FSM EFI/emissions section has all the functions of these wires.
It will have a list like
1A -ground
1B -main relay
1C -inujectors blah blah you know?
Then below the list is a plug layout.

It will have the 3 main plugs that go to the ECU.
Just tone out the wires you are clueless about and you will see what they are for.

If your lost give me a description of the plug and where on the harness it is(near firewall/afm/on rear injector part/etc....)

OK,
I think me and a friend tracked them down.

The Green and black stripe wire with a Black and white stripe wire plug is for the ASV(Air solenoid Valve?).

Then the brown with yellow stripe plug with a B/W is the Air bypass solenoid valve.

I have no idea what these technical terms mean.

Can Anyone help??

OK, the first i will say is, "the freaks come out at night....", second is...my question has to do with those bundled multicoloured wires right below the 4 injector wires at the top in your bottom picture digitech....what the hell do those go to?

Ignore the text in the pics I have. They were before I ID'd some things.

Doc.
Img 30= Cant see anything too vague
Img 31= Not sure really hard to tell. What series? S5 has a boost control solenoid near the rack and oil neck.
Maybe it's that.
Img 32= All Solenoid plugs. I can't be sure on which is which but if you do a check for emissions removal or check the FSM it will mention what they are.
Img 33= Hard to tell. Looks like it's near the ACV stuff.

In my pics the first one in green is the Air bypass solenoid
Then the other white plug there was the ASV

The middle pic is a close up of where the alternator would be.

On a Non turbo model the alternator plug is on the EFI harness. On Turbo's they are on the dsrivers side main harness.
A = BAC/Green 2 wire plug
B+C= ACV wires
D= some added BS fan wire or something. It didn't tone out anywhere.

The bottom pic helps show where the above pics are.
The middle pic is A and the top pic is B.

ok, because mine is a series 4 turbo as well, and on one of my images, i have this plus, (looks kinda yellow), and it has this air hose connected to it, it could be some emissions thing, but im pretty sure i have all that removed. so, if that is true, i shouldnt worry too much about missing those things right??? the yellow plug i am talking about is in my img31. i am holding it in the picture, and the yellow plug is plugged into some vacuum line distributor thing. i dont know where that goes. i assume it is some emissions thing??? i will also say that i removed my pulsation dampener, and replaced it with a earles fitting, and i removed my egr valve as well. since my dp/mp combo from thunder fab was in the way. i hope that helps if at all.

i believe in your pic on the bottom, it is the yellowish one bundled with the multicoloured wire set i was talking about before.

I believe the yellow plug is the Twin scroll actuator.

I'm not positive though. You might have to wait for one of the FC gods to wake up and check the threads.

I have never owned a TII before but I have a TII conversion which is a S4/5 hybrid so I don't know the stock systems like twin scroll very well.

:edit:lol I've never noticed that yellow plug on mine until you mentioned it. I guess I'll have t check the FSM later to figure it out.

I am removing my Vack rack though. Just keeping the FPR solenoid to help w/ hot starts. Everything else is going bye bye.
