Wiring diagrams

I need a diagram for the black and white wire harnesses behind the gauge cluster, and the white wire harness from the warning lights in the center of the dash. I've searched, but can't find them. anyone know of a good website with all these diagrams?

They are found in the FSM. Electronic online copies of the factory service manuals are found in links listed in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section.

You should always read the FAQ for FC sticky thread, as well as the other sticky threads found at the top of the 2nd gen technical section before posting. They and the 2nd gen archive cover many of the commonly asked questions, such as the one you started this thread with.

You should also make sure you always post year, and submodel when requesting help.

The online 88 manual in the FAQ for FC has full wiring diagrams for all the models.

sorry to bring this back, but I have downloaded the service manuals and the diagrams don't seem to help me.

many of the sections say "remove as assembly" which of course I didn't do. I know that I should have labeled stuff, but it seems like there has to be a source that has more detail on the wiring.

I found this on mazdatrix, but hate to spend $60 on a manual when I really don't know whats there. If it's the same as what's in the FSM, it hasn't helped me yet. i think my biggest concern is the injector plugs, and I can't find anything that says which way they go.

"These are by far the best diagrams to use for repairing or modifying your MAZDA. By breaking down the complete electrical system into smaller sub-systems, then showing individual plug configurations and locations, problem tracing is made much easier.

Please note that MAZDA has discontinued some of the earlier ones, a few are only available in the full service manual, and later ones are available seperately, or in the service manual. "

sorry. I have an 89 GTU.

Idealy I'm trying to find something that shows how the wires route through and wrap around, but the Manual that I dl'd from the archive seems only to talk about the electrical components. starter, plugs, alternator, etc.

thanks.

The injector plugs are wire color coded. On a series five, all the injector plugs have one of the two wires at each plug colored Black/Yellow. That's a black wire with a yellow stripe.

The other wire in each plug is a different color. Look at the diagram and it shows you for the front primary the color is Light Green.

Front secondary is Light Green/White

Rear Primary is Light Green/Black

Rear Secondary is Light Green/Red

See page B-2a in the online series five.

Series four are not the same. They have two seperate wire colors on each of the two wires on each connector.

EDIT: How the emissions harness lays/routes on the engine, I have this advice. Ya shoulda paid attention when ya took it out. I suggest you find another car to look at for reference.

I know of no place in the manuals that shows IN DETAIL how the harness routes.

And the harness is made where the plugs lay on top of the engine where you almost can't make a mistake connecting them up. The secondarys are longer than the primary.

ok, that should help. I know I was stupid not to look at it better/take pics but it's the first time I did it and was just tearing things apart.

I went back and looked at my files to find page b-2a and can't find it. the scheduled maintenance section is A, and the next file on them is the engine, which is C. what is section b?

I should have guessed from your screen name...

I tend to ignore screen names and concentrate on the problem. Sorry

Here, this was posted recently but I can't find the thread.

In case it's useful. A copy of the S5 wiring diagrams book.
(In this case, specifically 1991.)

thanks guys. that should make a big difference. I can't imagine the 89 would be too different from a 91.
