I recently traded my car for a coupe, the problem is, when i pressed on the brake my turn signals and side markers turn on. My friend says that they wired stuff wrong. What could it possibly be? they switched from s4 to s5

 

switched out just the tail lights or the wiring harness for then? IIRC, you can use the same harness for both? im just referring to just swapping out the tail lights.

Check all bulbs to make sure they are the Right bulbs in the right Places.
Some bulbs are two filament bulbs.ie;1257
If you use a single filament bulb(1157) in a 2 filament socket it can "short" the wiring and make it do all sorts of Funky things,.
Like making the brake light go on when yo put the signals on.

 

checked all of them, they all are right! i love retarded when i brake its like i turn of hazards on haha

 

Do all the side markers turn on or just some of them and if so exactly which ones. The same goes for the turn signals. And do the brake lights actually work?
