I'm going to be doing this at some point in the not too distant future and I would like some ideas on it.

I'd like to see where some have mounted their hardware, where they ran the wires. If they hid the pipes where'd they run them (pictures would be a good thing). Etc.

It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

I used the RHD harness and rewrapped it , i have it runnin along the back firewall
worked pretty good for a wire tuck, you could probably do the same with the LHD harness but just re rap the end of the harness to get the connectors in the right spot

Seems like the first thing to do would be a battery relocate (passenger bin is probably the most popular spot) and then it's just a matter of how crazy you want to get.
I always thought it'd be sweet to relocate the coils into the passenger compartment and just have the plug wires exit the firewall. That would free up space by the clutch MC where the engine fuse box could go.
The remaining harness on the driver's side (which carries the front light/signal, and misc. other little stuff) could be run through a polished aluminum tube clipped to the frame rail.
That covers about 90% of the visible clutter in the engine bay and you haven't had to screw with the engine/emissions harness at all.

Battery is already relocated.

I'm thinking of moving the coils to the cabin then using a firewall through connection to run it... either that or I will do a top of spark plug coil. another option would be what TTT did... But I'm keeping my PS/AC so that might not be feasible.

Has anyone re-routed the the HVAC piping at all? I'm thinking of running a length of pipe through the fenders in a round about way.

 

You can extend the map and MAF sensor wires, and run the RHD harness in from the back..

pretty clean.

fuse box relocation is nice, and you can put the leading coil on the side of the driver strut. It's pretty clean looking there.

 

I did one on mine.

 

microtech coils are pretty clean...

I don't get it.......... you're supposed to hide the wires..........

 

It's not really possible to COMPLETELY hide the wires..
But you can do alot of thing to makes them look nice and clean..




wire loom and e-tape is your friend.

 

Full wire tucks are possible, but you can't expect to do them with electrical tape and loom. Check out the Honda Forum, those guys know the correct way to do them.............whether it be running wires behind frame rails, fenders or relocating the ignition and master cylinder behind the dash.

This has nothing to do with the drivetrain, pink, and everything to do with the asthetics of the engine. I personally hate Hondas just like every other fan of the FR layout, but I agree with Viking in that some of them know how to keep a clean engine bay.

That's pretty intense. I think I'm going to run the engine harness either just behind (over the tranny) or make it a bulkhead connection a little closer to the engine but off set (to allow easy access to it).

I'm thinking I may run the HVAC lines through the fenders and try to limit the visible piping.

I don't see any grounds in the engine bay, are the just connected up through the cabin (or some other inconspicious place)?

Not exactly. I'm looking more towards where people have put the coils where they have run the wires through the firewall, and if they have altered the HVAC lines to run hidden. There's a few other things I'm going to do, but for the most part those are the big players that I would like to see in pictures.

 

Get you some bulk fittings for the plug wires if you plan on running your coils inside the cabin.... msd sells them
