A wire that shows when a manual FC is not in gear?

I'm curious to know if anyone knows of a wire that shows when a manual FC is not in gear. Its for a security install that i'm planning. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe there is a neutral switch on the tranny that outputs whether or not the tranny is in neutral.

Dig through the shop manual.

Icemark, you wouldn't happen to know weither its positive or negative? I'm assuming its negative. And i've read a few post's where you've stated that you've worked for DEI, you wouldnt happen to have the techsoft sheet for an 88, would ya? The information i have access to is only from i believe 90 and up. Thanks. BTW i'm a cc installer thats where i have access to Techsoft.

Its a negitive trigger (ground when closed).

Actually the wire colors between a 90 and 88 are pretty much the same. The 86 was really the only year there were any differences.
