Wipers dont work

Have a rebuilt switch from 13betc.com and replaced the wiper motor. Fuses are good. Wipers still dont work. Does the CPU or ECU have anything to do with the wipers. Not sure why they just stopped working.

Neither the CPU nor ECU are interconnected to the wipers. First, I would check to see if your wiper linkage is binding or seized. If not, than recheck the motor by applying 12V directly to its terminals. I assume that you've installed a rebuilt motor, which occasionally can be defective. If the motor works, than check that you're getting 12V at the motor connection when the switch is in the on position. You might have received a bad rebuilt switch. Other than that, I don't know what it would be other than perhaps a bad electrical connection. Good luck!

Like mentioned I would check for power and ground at the motor with the switch on. If you have power and ground then the motor has failed. If no power or ground check at the switch for power and ground when switched. If yes then suspect faulty wiring between the switch and the motor. If no suspect faulty wiring between the fuse block and switch or the switch itself. The relays are built in.

I fixed my wiper a few years ago, the switch was bad. Like mentioned above, check the wiper linkage first then the power and switch. ECU has nothing to do with it

Just wanted to update this thread. One of the main wiring harness plugs right before it goes through the firewall was unplugged. Shop that changed engine forgot to plug it . What a waste of so many hours. Check for the simple things first people !
