Question Wrong wiper switch ??

I have a wiper switch that is setup for the rear wipers but my 7 doesn't

have rear wipers. So, should the switch still work on my 7 even though it was really

meant for a rear wiper setup and I don't have a rear wiper setup. I was told that the

switch was good but I can't get wipers to work. The wiper motor checks OK. I jumped

the motor off the battery and it ran fine. The motor is plugged in and the fuse is

good.

Check for continuity at the whiper motor.
If none then jumper the switch and check again.
If still none then bad harness.
If all checks good when jumperd and motor works bad switch.
If checks ok first time then bad motor.

Do you know which terminals you are referring to, both at the switch and at the motor?

Check per the FSM for the wires that lead out to the motor from the switch. Check the continuity of these wires when the switch is on. They should have power. If they do your motor is bad.

rear wipers are wired seperate of the front wipers, so you could use a wiper switch with rear wipers on any coupe, regardless of it it had rear wipers or not.

So does anything happen when the front wiper switch is on??
